Videos of a performance

Members of the group Creative Dance from the dance studio of “Ich bin O.K.“.

Artistic direction: Edgar Lliuya | participants: Christa, Iris, David, Martin, Katharina, Claudia, Kristina | assistants: Tatyana Sharenkova, Nina Koppensteiner

The word Viewpoint can mean various things, e.g. an observation tower or, derived from it, a point of view such as: “…from my point of view”.

The performance is based on the story “The Black Spot“, in which an observation becomes a philosophical question: “On a white paper a dot is painted. What do you see there? Everyone sees the dot and beyond that nothing else but emptiness.”

A game of choreography and solos gives insight into the free expression of the performers, who transform physical and psychological obstacles into movements that show more than a black dot. They draw from their creative dance and design their own expression. The performers expose themselves in a world, that commonly perceives things from a different viewpoint.
